We are facing a sad time in the history of balance between freedom of expression and respect. The people who are promoting hate and intolerance do not stop pushing the limits of their hypocrisy and oppression; whether it would be physical, verbal or graphical. Unfortunately, the ignorant people have declared Thursday May 20 as a “cartoon day” against Prophet Muhammad (pbuh); this great man and the last and only universal prophet of God. The cartoon day serves nothing but provocation and it makes the road to dialogue not easier but much harder.

Hatred or freedom of speech?

Following all the blasphemy incurred against Prophet Muhammad (pPeace be upon him) and producing hateful cartoons, when the hypocrites see the slightest overreaction from some Muslims, they arrogantly point their fingers to all 1.6 billion Muslims around the world and add to their despicable  injustice and hypocrisy. They label Islam (Submission to God in peace) as the enemy, misleading people about the reality of cause and effect. The astonishing peak of their facade is that these people brand their actions as “defending freedom of speech” while purposely mocking that which others regards as sacred.

How to respond to ignorant cartoons against the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):

Fortunately, though, so some active Muslim communities, especially through twitter, have agreed on a peaceful response to these people from the Quran. The true message of Quran is the message of peace and tolerance, so we repeat to them a verse from Surah Al-Furqan (Chapter of Criterion) Ayah (verse) 63, where Allah says:

“And the servants of Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say “peace”” (Quran 25:63)

So brothers and sisters in Islam, lets not get over reactive towards the ignorant. It is better to give them a response from that which they mock and remember that we should never try to educate the ignorant because he will kill you in his ignorance.

We say peace to these people and we sincerely warn them against a great and eternal punishment in the hereafter.

May Allah guides us closer and closer to the truth and make our stance firm against the unbelieving folks.
